SIMON SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2022

FUNDRAISING FOR OUR PARTNERS SUSAN G. KOMEN — OCTOBER CAMPAIGN As a responsible corporate citizen, Simon is committed to contributing to the betterment of society. One of our key initiatives is our partnership with Susan G. Komen to create awareness about breast cancer, particularly during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Through our “Shop with Purpose”program, we aimed to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. Susan G. Komen is a globally renowned organization that has made significant progress in breast cancer research. By joining hands with them, we were able to raise awareness and funds to support their efforts. In 2022, 78 of our centers participated in this program and raised $84K, which exceeded our previous year’s donations. We encouraged shoppers to participate in the “Shop with Purpose” program by donating $10 to Susan G. Komen and receiving a digital Discount Pass for selected stores. This initiative helped us to contribute to the cause of saving lives, fulfilling critical needs, and supporting ongoing research to cure breast cancer. Several of our centers also hosted “More Than Pink” walks, generating over $1.2M and drawing over 9K participants. The events were packed with a variety of activities, such as a Kids Fun Zone, a Hope Village for survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer, mobile mammography screenings, and entertaining performances from The Pink Nation Breast Cancer Survivors Choir and the Stayin’ Alive Crew. Since we began our collaboration with Susan G. Komen in 2006, we have raised over $7M. This remarkable achievement underscores the importance of raising awareness about breast cancer and the impact we can make when we work together.

Simon is helping to amplify the message of Susan G. Komen, serving as a megaphone for our mission in community. Together we are saving lives by meeting the most critical needs in communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
